Oxidation

The first generation of 18K pink gold dials are not varnished and the copper in the gold alloy comes to the surface.

Now, we varnished the 18K pink gold dials and this make them appear more orange.

Upon request, we can clean or change the dial but the colour will be different.

While wearing my Ruthenium Chronograph I (and a few others) noticed the beginning of some oxidation on the dial. I personally like the fact that it has begun to oxidize giving it a very special feel that goes with age. The question I have is what happens ... 

I'm not sure but here's a pic of the oxidation

When I sent in my ex-tourbillon for routine service, you can see the oxidation around the lettering on the dial as shown in the below pic: I never really checked that closely when I got the watch back so hopefully Alex reads this thread so he can check hi...
