Just for fun.
The watch is Fully Wind and strap on the the wrist from 9am till 7pm and then put in the watch box , dial up till the next morning 9am.
Never rewind and I just the power wind down by itself to see how the time will drift

At 9am, the watch is in sync with NIST web clock.
At 11.40pm (after 14 hours and 40 minutes).........1 sec slower compare to NIST web clock
At 9am Day 2 (24 hours since the last full wind)...........2 sec slower compare to NIST web clock
At 11 pm Day 2 (38 hours since the last full wind) ............3 sec slower compare to NIST web clock
At 9am Day 3 (48 hours since the last full wind) ...........4 sec slower compare to NIST web clock ( note that the Power Reserve mark on this Tourbillon is only up to 42 hours
and at this moment, the remontoir springblade is no longer clicking)

Conclusion, the watch is slow by 2 sec a day consistently from full power till almost the end of power.
Also note that I was informed by Journe Atelier that the watch has never been service (it was manufacture in 1999), even though the seller was told that it has gone for routine service 2 years ago by the original seller.

I'm not familiar with the results on timechecking so I'm not sure if this watch is considered accurate since it is 2 seconds slow each day.
But at least I know it is consistent smile
This is not an official test but just something I find it interesting .

I look forward to completing a similar test. Stay tuned for results.

I'm surprised

I decided to do this test with my Ruthenium Tourbillon. After almost 12 hours it has gained 4 seconds.

It might settle now in the next 12 hours....

Personally, I think if the watch is in the +6, -4 sec range, I'm happy with it. Most importantly, it is consistent and not erratic. One impressive thing about this tourbillon is it keeps great time even after the 42nd hours Power Reserve. Look forward to ...

The original tourbillon which was recently serviced didn't lose even 1 second even after 53 hours. I didn't catch the exact end but for me IMHO that is accurate enough. I'll repeat this test again in a month or so and see how it changes. Meanwhile the rut...

if it's me, I won't really rush to send it in for routine servicing. I can live with that for a while. But then you are different ;-) You have so many Journes, you can send this in without missing it too badly How fortunate. Lovesss*CL

Seperately, CL also mentions a subtle point...

Montres Journe keeps detailed records and full history of each watch produced and serviced. When I recently visted the factory I was able to meet each watchmaker that produced specific watches in my collection. Only one such watchmaker that produced my To...
